Condition Details / Information Notes
The proposed extension would result in an increase in the number of bedrooms within the dwelling, from 3 to 5. The proposed extension would be built over one of the existing 2 parking spaces. In accordance with the County Council Streetscape Design Guide, a 5 bedroom dwelling should have parking provisions for 3 cars and 2 cycles. The Streetscape Design Guide also states that new car parking spaces should be a minimum of 2.4 metres x 4.8 metres in size. The site us unable to provide the required level of parking provision and is located on an A road. As such, this would create a hazard and present a danger to road users, compromising their safety. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies SWDP 4 and SWDP 21 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan 2016 and paragraph 115 of the National Planning Policy Framework 2023.
