| The works to which this Listed Building Consent relates must be commenced before the expiration of three years beginning with the date of this consent. Reason: To conform with the requirements of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990. |
| Except where required or allowed by other conditions attached to this permission/consent, the works hereby approved shall be carried out in accordance with the following plans/drawings/documents – Proposed floor plans Proposed elevations 100090 - Heritage Statement (Damp Proofing) - Rev B Aco HexDrain - 118mm Galvanised Steel - Technical Data Sheet Reason: To define the permission. |
| The lime-based mortar used for the repointing shall match the existing surrounding historic mortar in type, colour and texture, and the pointing shall match the adjacent historic pointing in width, profile and finish. Reason: To preserve the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building. |
| If installed, the approved drainage channel shall be installed in accordance with the approved technical details and using methods which minimise disturbance to historic fabric and the ground immediately adjacent to the barn. The installation shall not involve cutting into, undermining or otherwise damaging the building’s foundations or historic fabric. The extent and depth of any excavation adjacent to the barn shall be kept to the minimum necessary to install the approved drainage channel. Reason: To ensure that the drainage works do not adversely affect the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building. |
| Notwithstanding Condition 1, within 12 months of the date of this consent the works comprising the removal of the damp-proof membrane and reinstatement of the dry lining to match the existing wall treatment shall be completed in full in accordance with the approved plans and documents and shall thereafter be retained. The Local Planning Authority shall be notified in writing of the intended commencement date of those works at least ten working days before the works commence, to enable an inspection to be undertaken if considered necessary. Reason: To ensure that the outstanding remedial works are completed and to safeguard the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building. |
| The damp-proof membrane to the internal walls is not authorised for retention by this consent and will remain an unauthorised alteration until the remedial works required by Condition 5 have been completed, irrespective of any change in ownership. Carrying out or causing to be carried out unauthorised works affecting the character of a listed building is a criminal offence and may result in enforcement action and/or prosecution. |
