| No stone repairs or repointing hereby consented shall commence until details of the mortar to be used in the construction have been submitted to and approved in writing by the local planning authority. The details to be submitted shall include:- - type, mix, colour, texture, joint profile and finish. The repairs and repointing shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details. Reason: To ensure that the works preserve the special architectural and historic interest of the Grade I listed building |
| The works, including the erection and positioning of scaffolding, shall be carried out in accordance with the mitigation and compensation measures set out in sections 7.1 and 7.2 of the Bat Emergence Surveys and Ecological Impact Assessment, Tower Roofs at Croome Court, prepared by Collins Environmental Consultancy Ltd, January 2026, Version 1. Reason: To safeguard protected species and prevent significant harm to biodiversity in accordance with paragraph 193(a) of the National Planning Policy Framework. |
| Bats and their roosts are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 (as amended). The applicant is advised that the works affecting bat roosts will require an appropriate licence from Natural England. This listed building consent does not remove the need to obtain that licence before the relevant works commence. If bats are discovered during works outside the arrangements covered by the licence and the Ecological Impact Assessment, work in the affected area should stop immediately and advice should be obtained from the appointed ecologist and, where necessary, Natural England. Natural England can be contacted on 0300 060 3900. |
