Condition Details / Information Notes
The proposed additional window openings would, by reason of their proposed number, position and relative configuration, interrupt the areas of largely intact perforation slots and would lead to an overly domestic appearance which would involve significant and excessive alteration to a non-designated heritage asset which is considered unnecessary for the new use to function effectively, and would result in demonstrable adverse harm to the character and appearance of the original barn. This would represent a retrograde step following implementation of planning permission 20/00615/FUL. As such, the proposal fails to accord with Policies SWDPR 05 A, SWDPR 26 criteria A iii, iv & v and SWDP28 criterion A & B ii of the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review and paragraph 135c and 202 of the NPPF. It would also fail to meet the environmental objective 'c' of paragraph 8 of the NPPF to protect and enhance our built and historic environment and result in an unsustainable form of development on this basis.
This decision notice relates to the following plans & drawings: MAB1 & MAB 3 (A)
