Condition Details / Information Notes
The following plans are relevant to this decision: 1700-10 Site location and block plan 1700-11 As Built Plan, Elevations & Details
The replacement of traditional timber windows with uPVC units results in the loss of historically appropriate joinery and introduces an unsympathetic modern material, causing less than substantial harm to the significance of the Grade II listed building. No public benefits have been identified that would outweigh this harm. The proposal therefore fails to preserve the special architectural and historic interest of the building, contrary to Section 16(2) of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, policies SWDPR 09 and SWDPR 33 of the South Worcestershire Development Plan Review (2026), and the National Planning Policy Framework.
